Student Scheme

The Student Scheme is designed to equip the undergraduates with innovative professional Business Administration, Information and Knowledge Management skills and experience that will enhance their competence, employability and career advancement upon graduation.

The Institute Student Scheme programme is conducted in partnership with the various tertiary institutions in Nigeria and the international community thereby giving the students the opportunity to graduate with the tertiary institution prestigious academic qualification in addition to the Institute’s professional qualification.

The practice of Business Administration and Knowledge Management cuts across all disciplines and profession, irrespective of sector and industry, as such all undergraduate students are encouraged to participate in the programme.  This programme will indeed give the students a competitive edge and advantage for employment as well as enhance their career opportunities after graduation.

 

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATION

The students will be conferred with the Institute’s Affiliate Membership (AfIBAKM, AfMBA, AfMKM) qualification, Licentiate Membership (LIBAKM, LMBA, LMKM) qualification, Graduate Membership (GIBAKM, Grad.BA, Grad.KM) qualification or Associate Membership (AIBAKM, ACBA, ACKM) qualification upon successful completion of their respective academic programme and submission of academic statement of result and/or certificate.

Students who enrolled outside of the Student Scheme or through the regular stream will be inducted once they meet the Institute’s specific requirements for induction.  Click Admission Requirements for the specific requirements for admission into the Institute’s membership through the regular stream.

NB: Any student who enrolls outside of the Student Scheme will be required to pay the full regular fees for application, examination and induction.

 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

EXAMINATION LEVEL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
PROFESSIONAL LEVEL EXAMINATION I (PLE I)

·        Associate Certified Business Administrator (ACBA)

·        Associate Certified Knowledge Manager (ACKM)

Associate Certified Business Administrator (ACBA):

·        Minimum of HND1, 300L Bachelor Degree students in Business Administration and Management.

·        Completion of the BAIE Skill Level Examination

Associate Certified Knowledge Manager (ACKM):

·        Minimum of HND1, 300L Bachelor Degree students in Knowledge Management related discipline.

·        Completion of KMIE Skill Level Examination

NB: Induction as ACBA, ACKM is based on evidence of completion of academic programme and submission of HND, Bachelor Degree academic statement of result or certificate.

SKILL LEVEL EXAMINATION (SLE)

·        Graduate of Business Administration (Grad.BA)

·        Graduate of Knowledge Management (Grad.KM)

Graduate of Business Administration (Grad.BA):

·        Minimum of HND1, 300L Bachelor Degree students in Management Science related courses.

·        Completion of BAIE Knowledge Level Examination

Graduate of Knowledge Management (Grad.KM):

·        Minimum of HND1, 300L Bachelor Degree in non-related discipline.

·        Completion of KMIE Knowledge Level Examination

NB: Induction as Grad.BA, Grad.KM is based on evidence of completion of academic programme and submission of HND, Bachelor Degree academic statement of result or certificate.

KNOWLEDGE LEVEL EXAMINATION (KLE)

·        Licentiate of Business Administration (LMBA)

·        Licentiate of Knowledge Management (LMKM)

Licentiate of Business Administration (LMBA):

·        Minimum of HND1, 300L Bachelor Degree students in Engineering, Science, Law, Arts related courses

·        Minimum of ND1, NCE1 in Business Administration and Management

·        Completion of BAFE Foundation Level Examination II

Licentiate of Knowledge Management (LMKM):

·        Minimum of ND1, NCE1 students in Knowledge Management related discipline

FOUNDATION LEVEL EXAMINATION II (FLE II)

·        Affiliate of Business Administration (AfMBA)

·        Affiliate of Knowledge Management (AfMKM)

Affiliate of Business Administration (AfMBA):

·        Minimum of ND1, NCE1 students in Management Science related courses

·        Completion of the BAFE Foundation Level Examinations I

Affiliate of Knowledge Management (AfMKM):

·        Minimum of ND1, NCE1 students in non-related discipline.

FOUNDATION LEVEL EXAMINATION I (FLE I)

·        Foundation of Business Administration

Minimum of ND1, NCE1 students in Engineering, Science, Law, Arts related courses

 

EXAMINATION DATES/CALENDAR

The Institute Professional Level Examinations, Intermediate Level Examinations and Foundation Level Examinations holds in April, August and December of every year.

 

EXAMINATION CREDITS AND PASS MARK

Pass mark for the Institute’s Membership Qualifying Examinations (MQE) is fifty percent (50%).  Candidates will be credited for each subject passed and will be required to complete a level before proceeding to the next level.

NB: All payments must be made directly into the Institute bank account.  Candidates will be required to pay for study pack and tuition at the various accredited tuition/learning centres.
