NYSC Scheme

The Institute of Business Administration and Knowledge Management (IBAKM) is an approved and accredited strategic partner of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Directorate Headquarters, Abuja, Nigeria for the purpose of Empowerment, Job Advisory and Counselling (JAC) as well as Post-Camp Training and Certification of the NYSC Corps Members in line with the spirit and mandate of the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED). The approval was conveyed via a letter dated 9th August, 2021 with reference NYSC/DHQ/SAED/CLB/Y/VOL.VI/276.

The Institute NYSC Scheme is a specialized professional training programme aimed at assisting the Corps Members to acquire professional innovative skills for entrepreneurial development, business management, information and knowledge management for overall growth and sustainability of institutions, organizations national and international economies.

The programme will further broaden the Corps Members career opportunities and equip them with professional membership and professional certifications that will give them competitive edge and advantage in the labour market as well as grant them the opportunity and privilege to function in the various Business Administration and Knowledge Management professional career roles.

All organizations and institutions today, irrespective of their sector and industry, requires the services of a Business Administrator and Knowledge Manager, hence they are adjudged the catalyst for growth and sustainability. Therefore, the practice of Business Administration and Knowledge Management cuts across all disciplines and profession including Engineering, Medicine, Law, Science, Learning and Development, etc.

MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS

Upon successful completion of the respective programmes, the Corps Members will be conferred with the Associate (AIBAKM, ACBA, ACKM) Graduate (GIBAKM, Grad.BA, Grad.KM) and Licentiate (LIBAKM, LMBA, LMKM) membership qualifications and professional certifications depending on the Corps Members academic discipline and full compliance with the requirements for induction and certification.

·         Associate Certified Business Administrator (ACBA)

·         Associate Certified Knowledge Manager (ACKM)

Associate Certified Business Administrator (ACBA):

·         HND, Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Management

·         Completion of the BAIE Skill Level Examination

Associate Certified Knowledge Manager (ACKM):

·         HND, Bachelor Degree in Knowledge Management related discipline.

·         Completion of the KMIE Skill Level Examination

SKILL LEVEL EXAMINATION (SLE)

·         Graduate of Business Administration (Grad.BA)

·         Graduate of Knowledge Management (Grad.KM)

Graduate of Business Administration (Grad.BA):

·         HND, Bachelor Degree in Management Science related courses.

·         Completion of the BAIE Knowledge Level Examination

Graduate of Knowledge Management (Grad.KM):

HND, Bachelor Degree in non-related discipline.

KNOWLEDGE LEVEL EXAMINATION

·         Licentiate of Business Administration (LMBA)

HND, Bachelor Degree holders in Engineering, Science, Law, Arts related courses

 

EXAMINATION DATES/CALENDAR

The Institute Professional Level Examinations, Intermediate Level Examinations and Foundation Level Examinations holds in April, August and December of every year.

 

EXAMINATION CREDITS AND PASS MARK

Pass mark for the Institute’s Membership Qualifying Examinations (MQE) is fifty percent (50%).  Candidates will be credited for each subject passed and will be required to complete a level before proceeding to the next level.

NB: All payments must be made directly into the Institute bank account.  Candidates will be required to pay for study pack and tuition at the various accredited tuition/learning centres.
